With the news that the murderer responsible for Wednesday's shooting has been found dead, the people of Lewiston and the surrounding communities can feel safe that this threat has ended.
Families have been shattered and more Mainers have been left devastated by this senseless violence. There’s no question that there is a tough road ahead as these losses are grieved and the survivors supported. I know that many people throughout our community will pull together and do what they can to help.
My team has put together a collection of resources for the community in Lewiston and the rest of Maine. This includes resources for victims and their families, mental health resources for the greater community, and ways to lend support.
Click here to visit my new Emergency Resources page.We will continue to update the page as more resources and information become available. In the days and weeks ahead, I will give everything I have to support this community’s recovery. Please continue to reach out to my offices with any thoughts, feedback, and requests for help:
